This year’s Women in League Ladies Day at Denison Park was a standout celebration of community, inclusivity, and fun—and it all happened in style.
As part of the Queensland Rugby League’s national “Women in League” initiative, the Bowen Seagulls hosted their annual Ladies Day on a vibrant Saturday in April. The event brought together women of all ages—players, supporters, partners, and volunteers—dressed to impress, all united under the banner of celebrating the incredible women supporting the club.
Hosted at Denison Park, the festivities featured fashion, laughter, community spirit—and of course, rugby league. Lowcock Builders stepped forward as a proud Silver Sponsor, helping make the day possible and demonstrating strong community backing.
“We are so excited to give back to the community who support this club—and what a great excuse to get dressed up and dance the night away!”
The Real Impact
• The day strengthened bonds among women connected to the club—on-field and off
• It served as a fundraiser to support club initiatives and facilities
• Most importantly, it affirmed the value and centrality of women within the vibrant ecosystem of rugby league in Bowen—on and off the field
Final Thought
Ladies Day was more than an event—it was a statement: that women are integral to every pass, every cheer, and every heartbeat of the Bowen Seagulls community.
As the sun set over Denison Park, one thing was clear — the spirit of Women in League burns brighter than ever in Bowen.
